- US grocery chain Whole Foods recently notified store employees that they could “donate” their paid time off (PTO) to each other.
- They’re also offering unlimited, unpaid time off this month and two weeks paid time off for employees who tested positive for corona.
- Several employees were offended, instead believing that Whole Foods should cover paid time off instead of asking employees “living paycheck-to-paycheck” to make the sacrifice.
- The request stings more since Whole Foods is owned by Amazon, one of the richest companies.
