  • The US Postal Service unveiled its re-designed delivery vehicles set to hit the road in 2023.
  • 70% of USPS’ fleet of 200K vehicles is between 25 and 32 years old, lacking basic features including airbags and air conditioning.
  • The new fleet will be modernized with back-up cameras, automatic breaking and collision warnings.
  • They’ll also include more cargo space for the increasingly profitable package delivery business.
  • Oshkosh Defense was awarded the contract to build 50-100K USPS delivery vehicles over 10 years.
